Printed for the first time on a silk foulard by Piero Fornasetti in 1945, Chiavi was one of his first on-going opportunities for setting loose his talents in the applied arts.
Shining in gold on a blue background, the keys for Fornasetti represented a symbolic landscape, expressing a desire for freedom and openness.
